The Galway Lions announce the 29th annual Memory Tree in the Village Park by the bandstand. Our
memory tree will be lit with bulbs donated by individuals wishing to remember loved ones during the
Christmas season. It is an annual holiday tradition and bulbs can be purchased each year. There is
a $1 donation requested per bulb for each individual name submitted. All proceeds will be used for
our Community Fund listed below. Names may be submitted until December 31st. Tree will be lit
through the end of January.
Anyone interested in buying a bulb in memory of someone special may submit that person’s name
and donation to the Galway Lions Club.
A list of names of those to be remembered will be posted in the gazebo. Each name will be listed
only once. Angels next to a name will indicate additional remembrances.
Community Fund projects we donate to include: Gateway House of Peace, local holiday and spring
basket programs, Lions Eye Bank at Albany, Lions Foundation, Town of Galway Summer Program,
and the annual senior class breakfast.
Please join us for the tree lighting on Sunday, November 26th at 5:30 pm. Bring a flashlight. After the tree is lit, we will read the names of those being remembered.
The members of the Galway Lions Club wish to express their gratitude for your support throughout
the year and wish you a joyous Christmas season.
